We have always looked in admiration at those who, with gestures passed down from generation to generation, managed to shape raw materials into something exceptional. Those wise gestures, almost ancestral, needed to regain a voice.
We have encountered many realities, some small, others very tiny, capable of creating extraordinary objects. We were enchanted by the ability to perform meticulous work with hands so large and weathered in comparison.
It's the year 2020, and Covid has effectively halted all kinds of activities except one: ideas. It was during that time that we understood we wanted to do something different. It was in that moment that we realized we could put our ideas at the service of clients and artisans.
Prodocto was born almost as a game, from four individuals with different experiences but a common denominator: the desire to create! A group of individuals with diverse skills and great passion. Designers, communicators, economic and commercial profiles, all together for unexpected synergies.
We started our work by selecting small, highly skilled artisanal entities, to connect them with companies and individuals, thus bridging the gap between supply and demand. We shared our ambitious project with them, relying only on those who believed in it as much as we did.
We discovered precious materials lying unused in warehouses. Leftovers that we could breathe new life into, in pursuit of a sustainability commitment dear to us.
This is why we established a set of values for our productions: we decided to create virtuous mechanisms to maximize and reuse resources, giving objects a second chance.
A "made-to-measure" world where everyone's creativity, guided by our industry experience, can take shape and transform into something unique.
Prodocto has a distinctive name, starting from "product" (prod) and arriving at its representation: an octopus (octo). It might sound curious, but it's quite fitting. We chose it because we found many similarities with our project: the absence of an endo- and exoskeleton, for example, allows it to take any form, making it incredibly flexible – just like our approach to projects. Each tentacle is independent yet governed by the central core – just like our relationship with craftsmen and creatives. Prodocto is our mascot!
Our world has two souls – the Studio and the Workshop. The studio is the workshop of ideas, where everything takes shape, while the Workshop is the place where our projects come to life. The beating heart of Prodocto, the showcase to appreciate objects produced or reimagined by our designers. In the studio, we bring every project to life with a bespoke approach and the variety of skills at our disposal, offering unexpected solutions. We deal with Interior, Tools, Product, and Retail, and we do it in a completely new and unexpected way.
That's why in Prodocto, you won't just find objects, but a macrocosm where creativity and passion are contagious factors."
